May 21st (9am-1pm): Nokia Sunday Bikedays 2017 Launch

This year's opening Sunday Bikeday will cover the Confederation Boulevard loop through Ottawa and Gatineau, as well as activities in Major's Hill Park. Bike Ottawa will have a booth in Major's Hill Park, handing out new NCC cycling maps and talking cycling advocacy with families attending the special 2017 launch! Minister Catherine McKenna will join us at our booth for a meet and greet from 9:30 to 10:00am.Come out and say hello. Be sure to wear your Bike Ottawa shirt, and tell her you support her in pushing for a National Active Transportation Strategy! Learn more about the event.

June 1st (5pm): Bike Day on the Hill

It's the annual celebration of our national cycling organization, Canada Bikes. Meet at Parliament Hill for a ride with Parliamentarians or an on-foot infrastructure tour, followed by a barbecue and reception at 6:15. July 6th to 16th: RBC Bluesfest Bike Parking

This is still our biggest fundraiser and we are so grateful to run the Bike Parking at Bluesfest, thanks to super-volunteer Charles Akben-Marchand (former Board member and President). You can sign up as a full Bike Park volunteer when Bluesfest volunteer registration opens on May 24th. Make sure you act quickly because the perks (free admission to the festival) mean full volunteer spots fill up fast. If you have fewer hours to commit, you can join Bike Ottawa volunteers for just one or two shifts at the Bike Parking. You'll get a free T-shirt and have a great time! Please email our Events Corodinator, Felicity (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) with any availability you have, especially on weekends (July 7-9 and 14-16).

August 26th: Tour la Nuit and Capital Velofest

This year's event will be bigger and better than ever for Canada's 150th. Stay tuned for details from us and follow the organizers at @CapitalVeloFest on Twitter for updates.
