Bicycle use clearly reduces our carbon footprint and promotes healthy living. The City of Ottawa needs to work with the National Capital Commission to provide a network of safe and time-efficient bicycle routes that would encourage cycling. These should be designed to reduce, as much as possible, the "white-knuckle factor" that presently discourages bicycle use in the city.
