Parking Meters Disappearing: Is There Enough Bike Parking?

In many central neighbourhoods, parking meters have now disappeared, to be replaced by pay and display kiosks. This means a substantial reduction in secure bike parking locations on main streets. The City of Ottawa has promised to replace these with equivalent bike parking, in some cases reusing the parking meter poles. Even in cycle crazy countries like the Netherlands, bike parking is an issue though. With increasing numbers of people choosing for cycling around town, bike parking will become an important issue.

Is there anywhere you cycle where the new bike parking hasn't replaced the former meters, and there's no longer enough secure and convenient bike parking? Or where there never has been enough?
